Covid-19

Ensuring our residents are cared for in a safe and healthy environment is our top priority.

 

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has set forth a variety of steps that Iroquois Skilled Nursing Community has implemented to protect our residents from COVID-19.  These recommendations include, among other things, strict infection control and prevention initiatives, stringent hand washing procedures, restricting visitation, and screening and temperature monitoring of all individuals – including staff – that are permitted to enter our facility.  We have implemented enhanced environmental cleaning, with use of products that are EPA approved for COVID-19.  Additionally, all healthcare workers adhere to the guidance issued by the CDC and the New York State Department of Health for transmission-based precautions in caring for our residents.  Our staff are provided job-specific training on inflection prevention protocols.

 

We also offer the COVID-19 vaccination for residents and staff.
